Brother Embroidery Machine Tension Problem

The sewing machine needle that should be used depends on the type of fabric sewn and the thread thickness. if a needle and thread appropriate for the fabric are not being used, the thread tension will not be adjusted correctly, causing wrinkles in the fabric or skipped stitches.. The problem was that i had thread stuck in the upper thread tension discs. those discs are hidden behind the plastic casing on the top near the thread. to get to them, you have to remove the plastic cover by taking out the small screw and snapping it loose from its seated position.. I learned a lot about tension problems for my wife’s sewing machine a brother model # se 400. in the course of this learning, i found some excellent videos about tension problems. the first video correcting mistakes…. is 8 1/2 minutes long..

I have a bottom of the line brother sewing machine. i am having serious issues with the tension. i was having problems and my mother in law showed me how to remove the bobbin case and clean the lint out etc.. Machine tension is paramount to beautiful sewing, quilting and embroidery, but it is such a vicious beast at times. good tension, nobody notices. bad tension, nobody forgets. photos via debbie henry few things are more frustrating than sitting down to stitch and having a myriad of thread problems. The brother cs6000i sewing machine is equipped with a tension adjustment dial located on the top of the machine. the tension dial controls the tension of the thread as it feeds through the sewing machine..
